Based in Durham, UK, Professor Hossain is one of the most accomplished AI leaders in the Bangladeshi diaspora. He has more than 30 years of experience in AI research, innovation and strategy across the UK, Europe and Asia.

Leading AI Transformation
Professor Hossain is CEO of D-Ready (UK), an Innovate UK funded AI company. There he leads the team behind three Responsible and Agentic AI platforms: RaiDOT, CADENCE and RAISE-Me. He is also AI Advisor to ACI, one of Bangladesh’s largest diversified groups. At ACI he works with the Group Managing Director and top management on AI adoption across more than 30 businesses, where over 130 AI products have been developed. He also serves as Head of AI Innovation and Research at JobAssured (Australia).

A Distinguished Academic Career
Professor Hossain began his career at the University of Dhaka, where he chaired the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He went on to serve as Professor of AI at leading UK universities, including Northumbria, Anglia Ruskin (Cambridge) and Teesside. He was also Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research at the Cambodia University of Technology and Science.

He earned his PhD from the University of Sheffield as a Commonwealth Scholar. He holds first class, first position BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Dhaka.

At CODE 2027, Professor Hossain will share his insights on AI strategy, Responsible AI and Agentic AI. His focus will be on how Bangladeshi businesses, institutions and young professionals can prepare for an AI driven future.
